Old – New Difference in Equities

Bonds having the rights to take the dividend of previous period are called as “Old” in case the companies increase capital without distributing previous year profit within the year, the ones which do not have dividend rights as they do not have the previous account period coupon are called as “New” bond. “Old” and “New” shares are merged with the calculated Base price on the date when the payment of previous year dividend was announced or the dividend was announced not to be paid.
