Since its establishment, İşbank has occupied a very important place not only in the Turkish financial sector but also has pioneered many new areas of business through investments and equity participations in the industrial and financial services sectors. As of December 2011, İşbank is holding direct equity in 26 companies in finance, glass, telecommunications , industry and service sectors. Ever since its inception, İşbank has participated in the equity of a total number of 291 companies and has divested shares in 265 of these companies. Still, İşbank is holding direct equity in 26 and indirect equity in 108 companies.
