INTERNET BRANCH
The Internet Branch, together with mobile
banking applications, is İşbank’s alternative
distribution channel offering the broadest
transaction diversity and the easiest access.
Work carried out in 2012 was targeted at
further improving the Personal Internet
Branch user experience. Supplementary
security questions during login have been
removed to give customers easier and faster
access to the Internet Branch. “Search”
capability was added to instant bill payment,
securities, warranty and odd lot trading
functions, and various menus have been
revised in line with user needs. The recently
added “Redo” function allows users to easily
conduct previously-made inter-bank and
intra-bank money transfers in the same
amount to the same recipient account.
The login page of the Internet Branch
has also been enhanced to strengthen
personalization.
The Stock Exchange Trading Platform
went live, enabling real-time tracking of
the markets and issuing trading orders
independently from the Internet Branch.
The infrastructure of 23 transactions was
renovated, investment transactions in
particular. In addition, the Internet Branch
can now be used to apply for any new
products added to İşbank’s product range
throughout the year.
The renovated Commercial Internet Branch
was put into service for İşbank customers in
January 2012. Commercial loan application
processes were simplified; commercial
interactive password setting method and
channels were improved. Direct Debit
System (DDS) transactions were added to
the Commercial Internet Branch menu and
functions were added to enable franchiser
users to upload bills, track and update the
bills in the system, and view dealer and DDS
data. With these added functions, dealer
users also are able to pay bills, access bank
receipts for bill payments, and view bills and
DDS data. İşbank intends to make the Cep
Anahtar (Mobile Key) application available
for use by Commercial Internet Branch
customers in the coming period.
BANKAMATİK
The Bankamatik (ATM) network is the İşbank
alternative distribution channel with the
highest number of users.
Through the projects realized during 2012,
İşbank continued to improve the usage
properties and functions of Bankamatiks.
Menu structures were redesigned in
line with the Bankamatik information
architecture, and customers were provided
with the facility to sell USD, Euro and GBP
based on the exchange rate on banknotes,
as well as to open time deposits. The
Bankamatik menu was expanded to cover
money transfers from account to MaxiPara
card, and card information viewing and
printing. Within the framework of İşbank’s
strategy to diversify its gold-backed
products and services, the options of
buying/selling gold for/from the demand
gold deposit and querying were added.
In 2012, the Bank put into service 635 new
Bankamatiks, all possessing cash recycling
feature. In the same twelve-month period,
customers of other banks performed
more than 3.5 million cash withdrawal
transactions using Bankamatiks within the
structure of the ATM-sharing platform. With
its reach increased to 81 cities, the number
of Bankamatiks with Bio-ID went up to
2,750, and the number of customers using
this feature to 68,000.
The extensive Bankamatik network
contributes to the accessibility and visibility
of İşbank, while also giving the Bank a major
competitive edge. As steady increase is
observed in the number of ATMs across the
entire sector, İşbank further strengthened
its leadership in this area with 4,851
Bankamatik units as of end-2012. Retaining
its title as the bank with the most extensive
ATM network, İşbank had a 13.4% share in
the ATMmarket as of year-end.
