From 2012, İşbank Private Banking began
offering service only out of branches
where there is a private banking customer
relationship manager. Offering private
banking service at 116 locations, including
8 specialized private banking branches
located in İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Adana
and Antalya, and 22 branches with private
banking departments, the Bank manages
assets with a total worth of TL 20 billion for
its nearly 25,000 retail customers.

operations with products and services that
allow timely response to customers’ needs
as they develop under evolving market

IN 2012…
In a year characterized by sustained
uncertainties in developed economies,
deposits remained the main component of
the assets composition of private banking
customers. Against a backdrop of continuing
expectations for further reductions in
interest rates, individuals in search of an
alternative investment instrument began
shifting their focus on long-term private
sector bonds and away from deposits.
In order to maximize customers’ investment
returns through instruments other than
deposits, the Bank closely monitored market
opportunities and presented alternative
products as circumstances arose, including
FC/TL swaps, dual currency deposits
(DCD), vanilla options, yield guaranteed
binary options, capital protected and yield
guaranteed mutual funds, and private sector
bills and bonds.
In 2012, DCD, option and swap product
transactions carried out by private banking
customers exceeded 1,600 in number,
whereas transaction volume amounted
approximately to TL 5 billion.
In keeping with concept of service delivery
through specialized areas focused on
relationship management, 6 private banking
affiliated branches, three of which are
located in İstanbul and one each in Ankara,
Antalya and Adana, were turned into
independent specialized branches. A new
specialized private banking branch was also
opened in İzmir in 2012, bringing the total
number of specialized branches to 8.
