CERTIFIED CHEQUE – A FIRST IN THE
A first in the sector and developed with
a keen eye on customer demand, the
“Certified Cheque” product was introduced
in November 2012 with a view to reinstating
cheques as a reliable payment instrument.
Quickly attracting intense attention and
interest, the product was already in use by
approximately 5,000 customers by the end
of the year.
Besides, İşbank further strengthened its
efficient position in the Direct Debit System,
where it is a key market player, and in Dealer
Card implementations. Banking service
revenues generated via this area grew 40%
year-on in 2012.

In 2012, İşbank further solidified its years of
successful performance in the commercial
banking business line.
Remaining the leading provider of
installment-based commercial loans by a
substantial margin in 2012, İşbank’s loan
portfolio in this segment amounted to
TL 17.1 billion
as of the end of the year.
The bank controlled a 19.2%
share in this business line.
While providing small- and medium-sized
enterprises (SME) with working capital and
investment financing, İşbank continued
to support SMEs’ purchases of commercial
vehicles and property in 2011. The Bank
remained the leading provider of commercial
vehicle loans, a business line in which it
controlled a 26.2%
